If you are an experienced rider there may be times that you are not able to ride enough to stay fit, sharp and flexible. The Equicizer allows riders to workout, practice and exercise by simulating riding maneuvers in all levels and styles of racing and competitive riding. The Equicizer makes it possible for you to ride, maintain and even improve your form, skills and fitness during your free time at home.
Beginners or apprentice riders may have limited opportunities to ride as horses are not always available. Teaching beginners on certain horses is also not generally good for the student or the horse. With the Equicizer many basic skills like reining technique, whip switching, leg and body positioning and balance can be practiced and honed to perfection in a completly safe enviroment.
Rehabilitation and Therapeutic Riding
The serious or professional rider needs to regain strength and flexibility that will get him/her back in the saddle fit and strong. Basic exercises used in therapy do not always recondition the areas of the body that are essential to riding. Working on the Equicizer , you will be using those essential areas that will aid your return with strength and confidence.

The Equicizer is a safe beautifully hand-crafted non-motorized mechanical horse that can be used anywhere by almost anyone! Built with extreme quality and durability, this is the only novelty piece of exercise equipment that you may feel the desire to call by name, pat on the neck, or even hug!
How Does The Equicizer Work?
No tools, or electricity are needed! This patented spring designed mechanism is easily activated and controlled by the rider's level of effort and fitness. Riders can use the correct riding seat and leg muscles that virtually bring the Equicizer to life! When in motion, the Equicizer simulates a real horse’s movement, allowing riders to exercise, stretch and practice technique and improve body posture and positioning, fitness and confidence in a safe controlled manner.
The Equicizer provides a very safe low impact exercise. Use any saddle or ride bareback, with or with out stirrups, riders can use their hips, or "core" seat, and leg muscles to initiate the walk, trot or canter motion. This exercise works all those horse riding muscles in your legs, abdomen, back, everywhere!

For a cardiovascular workout, riders can go for wide open gallops in a half seat (2 point) position, improving leg strength and form while using their hands and arms to urge a forward rhythm and stride on the Equicizer's neck.
These exercises are very effective for riders of all disciplines and the same type of exercise was used as means of weight loss, fitness and training for actor Tobey Maguire in the roll of Jockey Red Pollard, during the making of the movie Seabiscuit. The Equicizer was used extensively in the making of this film.
